We will inform you when we commence the deletion of your personal information and associated data, excluding the data we are required to retain according to accounting laws.
NOTE! If you have an active subscription, it will not be automatically canceled when you delete your account. The subscription must be canceled separately. Refer to the instructions on how to cancel your subscription under ‘manage subscriptions’ in the app or in this FAQ.
How does the treatment in the app work?
The treatment consists of 11 steps and includes information about the gut and IBS, the low FODMAP diet and stress management. To make the treatment easy we have tools such as searchable FODMAP lists, FODMAP scanner, recipes, weekly menus, and courses in Belly yoga and mindfulness. You can try the app 7 days for free.
When you have IBS, isn't it individual what you can eat or not?
Well, initially, everyone goes through the same treatment, and afterward, you personalize your diet as you reintroduce various foods into your eating plan.
Can I undergo the treatment without having received an IBS diagnosis?
Yes, of course. Not all doctors will diagnose IBS even if it’s suspected, but before starting any treatment, it’s recommended to get tested for coeliac disease. This test is readily available at most healthcare centres.
I have tried everything for my stomach, why would FODMAP work?
The FODMAP dietary treatment is evidence-based and helps a whopping 75% of those with IBS. It is currently the most effective method we have and is used in healthcare to treat IBS. By starting with dietary treatment, it quickly becomes apparent if there could be other factors, such as stress, affecting the stomach. You can then address these as step two.
I have had stomach issues throughout my entire life; can it really be IBS?
Yes, many people receive an IBS diagnosis later in life after prolonged stomach issues. IBS can occur at any time, for example, during school years, after a stomach infection, or it may be more stress-related. However, it is never too late to do something about it!
I have Crohn's disease, can I be helped by your treatment?
Absolutely, the low FODMAP diet has been studied to help with symptoms in those in remission from both Crohn’s disease and Ulcerative Colitis with positive effect. However, it’s important to understand that the FODMAP diet does not eliminate the underlying cause of the disease but only provides relief from symptoms.
